Your children have worked extremely hard at school. So this holiday season, give them a break from school work and show them some love! Have some hot chocolate together, play outside, bake cookies together, paint pictures and watch movies. They love your presents, but your presence means more to them.
Make a concerted and conscious effort to really enjoy this time away from the hustle and bustle of the school week. Use these couple of weeks to ASK questions and LISTEN as your child tells you what's important to him or her.
In response, tell them what you love about them. Encourage them to always strive to be their best, and that you believe that they are truly capable of achieving anything that they set their minds to because they have unique strengths and abilities that can take them anywhere!
