Below is a bar graph representing one California school's Academic Performance Index (API) using test score results from spring 2010 for all students, and for each of the major subgroups of students as reported by the State of California.
The API measures the academic performance and growth of schools on a variety of academic measures. In several schools across the nation, African-Americans notably perform below every subgroup, except students with disabilities. In several other schools, they perform below English Language Learners although in this particular school they are basically at par.
